USGBC – Redwood Empire Chapter

USGBC Redwood Empire is a volunteer-based 501©(3) nonprofit organization. Our vision and mission is to improve the quality of life by transforming the design, composition, and operation of the places where we live, learn, work, and play within the short space of a generation. This mission means that our children and grandchildren will grow up in green and healthy homes.

Our region extends along the Northern California coast north of San Francisco to the Oregon border, and spans seven counties including Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte.

We provide members the opportunity to be part of the conversation and interface with cutting-edge leaders and knowledgeable professionals who are dedicated to regenerating sustainable, healthy and thriving communities.

Ecological Building Network

EBNet is an open group of engineers, builders and architects developing and disseminating best technologies for the built environment. We provide information that helps reduce the negative impacts of your buildings on the environment, while protecting health and safety. Our reach is global, we are located in Northern California.

We conduct research, develop standards and put on international conferences. One of our projects is The BuildWell Source, a user-built, online library of low-carbon building.
