Nick Young

Nick is a Senior Energy Analyst at the Association for Energy Affordability, specializing in energy and green building consulting for affordable multifamily new construction and major renovation projects. He manages AEA West’s Independent Consulting department, which delivers green building services for new and existing buildings, including green ratings (LEED for Homes, GreenPoint Rated, Passive House), California Energy Code (Title 24 Part 6 & 11), Low Income Housing Tax Credit consulting, HERS & diagnostic testing, and energy modeling. Nick is also an experienced trainer and educator, delivering classes on a range of building science topics, including the Certified Passive House Designer/Consultant course through the North American Passive House Network. He is a Certified Passive House Consultant (PHI); GreenPoint Rater; LEED for Homes Green Rater; BPI BA, MFBA, & MFBO; and LEED AP O+M. Nick earned an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a BA in Linguistics and Chinese from UC Berkeley.
